At the close of its 23rd edition, BAU in Munich has once again confirmed its status as an international event for the construction industry that brings together technology and tradition.
The success of this year’s edition, which was recently held at the International Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany, can be seen in its numbers: 10 halls covering an area of 200,000 square metres made available to 2,250 exhibitors from 45 countries. Products and technologies were introduced to more than 250,000 visitors, 85,000 of whom were from 150 foreign countries. Every two years, the BAU trade fair achieves better results through an enhanced exhibition programme: from 14 to 19 January 2019, the number of exhibiting companies increased (by 6.1% compared to 2017), as did the number of visitors from countries other than Germany (+5.6%).
As stated by Joerg Reiter, General Manager of Isopan Deutschland, ‘The BAU trade fair continues to be a very interesting opportunity to make contacts in growing foreign markets and to strengthen our presence in the German market.’ By participating in BAU, Isopan has started the new year with a focus on Germany, where a new production facility will soon be opened to accommodate the German headquarters, which will relocate from Plotz to Halle in order to increase production flexibility and expand the range of products and services offered.
Visitors were amazed by the stand – which was built using materials produced by the company, such as Isoparete Plissé for the walls of the main building and ARKWALL, created in partnership with INPEK, for the finishing touches of the exhibition area – and appreciated its typical Italian design. The special products presented on this occasion aroused considerable interest: for example GreenRoof, the green roof system developed and designed by Isopan with DAKU Italia, and IsoLED, the LED lighting solution for sandwich panels that adds character to buildings featuring Isopan panels.
